BRAD PHILLIPS has joined the faculty as a lecturer in the department of Jazz & Contemporary Improvisation at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance where he is piloting a new course tailored to string players called ROOTS MUSIC & IMPROVISATION FOR STRINGS, in which string players from all backgrounds can explore groove-based string music and creativity through improvisation.
